1 Ropewalk is situated a few metres from the beautiful Porthmeor beach. Famous for its sunsets, surf and the Tate gallery.
The open plan interior is filled with the St Ives light. It has a double aspect position and high vaulted ceiling. 1 Ropewalk is located in the downlong area, an old conservation part of central St Ives. The building was once used to store pilchards, it then became a central part of the artistic community. It is still surrounded by art studios and galleries.
Porthmeor beach is a few paces away, and when the tide is in you can sleep to the sound of the sea.
Ropewalk holiday cottage also has the rare addition of an integral garage. Very unusual in this part of town.
There are all the mod cons you require from your holiday; a dishwasher, washer/dryer, TV, DVD player, wifi etc.
The living room has a fully sprung sofa bed and additional small sofa. There is a dining area with seating for 4. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the spacious bathroom has a full size bath with powerful Mira shower over.
There is a Mezzanine bedroom with King Size bed which can also be converted to 2 small singles.
At Ropewalk we allow well-behaved dogs. At Porthmeor there is an area called the Island pictured left, which is open throughout the year for dog walking.
Also starting from Porthmeor beach is the stunning coastal path to Zennor, pictured below, a stretch of beautiful unspoilt coastline and abundant wildlife.
